02.03.2006 - Still alive

We just like to say we're still alive :) We are currently working towards the first release.

Monday, December 26th 2005 - New device discovering code

The complete rewrite of the device discovering part has been completed. It allows to discover all BeBoB devices including devices like the Aureon. The libfreebob code still uses the old streaming part from the prealpha 2 releases. Next step is to change the prealpha 3 release to use the libfreebob module instead of the freebob module.

Monday, May 16th 2005 - Setting sampling frequency

A new small test program allows now to set the sampling frequency. In order to change the sampling frequency you have first to set it with the stream_format program and then you have to start the freebob daemon. The settings are lost when a power cycle occurs.

Sunday, May 8th 2005 - Prototype setup pre-alpha v2 released

The second version of our prototype setup based upon jackd is ready for testing.

Changes:

- Added MIDI support via ALSA sequencer devices.
- Added xrun handling. The previous version accumulated
buffered samples on every underrun, adding latency.
- Added support for jackd transport (untested).
- Realtime operation should work.
- Complete rewrite of the 1394 transfer code. It now syncs the
 incoming and outgoing streams correctly.
- General code cleanup. Added some assert()'s and some other
sanity checks. The code should be much more reliable.
- Update to latest jackd CVS (0.99.61, 8/may/05)
